FAMILY DAY CARE EDUCATOR

We are near to our full capacities at the moment and only have a few spots left for educators. We are looking for educator in North West and South East of Melbourne. If you are

  1. passionate about working with children,

  2. have a sound understanding of the NQS, Child safe standards, and the Child Care Subsidy system

  3. have a good communication, self-management, computer skills,

  4. and feel comfortable working independently at the same time close to families and other peer educators,

 

Then please consider applying to become an educator with us. Additionally, you would also need to actively working toward your Cert III or above degree in "Early Childhood Education and Care" or equivalent qualification

THE RECRUITMENT PROCESS

1. FIRST INTERVIEW

Over the phone or face to face with our coordinator

Opportunities for us to know better about you and provide you with extra information and our insight experience of the job to make sure the position is right fit for you.

2. HOUSE CHECKS

Visit your premise and suggest improvement/modification to be made.

At least two house visits will be made to your premise and all safety check need to pass before the premise is approved to begin caring for children.

3. SECOND INTERVIEW

Make sure that you fit to work as a home-based educator

Along continuously discussing with you about your previous experience, your learning and teaching philosophy, We will ask you and any adult living at your premise to go through the formal WWC and Police Check. For yourself, we also ask you to have a health check to make sure you are physically fit for the job. Other requirements and paperwork will also be discussed during this process.

4. ORIENTATION BEFORE STARTING

Personalized coaching you to your new role

We want to make sure that you are confident with the role. Different topics will be discussed with you from childcare paperwork, normal routine practice, families relationship, professionally development recommending to you, the laws and regulation in childcare, and the Pink Lotus FDC  policies and procedures to guide your everyday practice. This program will go on even after you start with us as we know concerns and questions will rise during the first few weeks of work.

We know that each and every person has different circumstance so we will tailor our process to make sure it suits you, ensure you are the right match for the role and that you will be confident in your new role as a home-based educator.
 

P.s: This standard process is for freshly started recruitment. if you are currently working as an FDC educator, it will take a shorter time to start again with us.
